Which transmission do I have

Here is the transmission from my 70 C10. Its a 3 speed and the truck has a 350 engine. There is no name on it but I have been told its either a Saginaw or a Muscie.

Re: Which transmission do I have

That is a Muncie three speed in your picture. The transmission is the huskier heavy duty three speed that comes standard behind a 350 or 396. The six cylinder and 307 V8 got the lighter duty Saginaw.

Re: Which transmission do I have

I don't think its a saginaw. Because if you look at the side cover there is not bolt in the center top. There is one on each side.

I also found this listing on ebay for a muncie side cover and it looks like OP's photo.

M13 Muncie. Was used in a handful of big block GM muscle cars as the std. 3 speed (very rare) and 69-72 350 and 396 C series pickups. Not sure of usage ‘73 and up?
