Looks good. You need to put a lift kit on the license plate frame.

Re: Street Rod Sugar Daddy (Dino63's 78 C-10)

This picture was taken of the KP Components / Porterbuilt truck at ride height .....

vs. the truck with an ART kit deflated ....

This is the picture that would make anyone want to build one of the 73-87 trucks without a doubt.

Best part, it's still got a stock floor, bolt-on kit, and still gets more lift then the "other" kit on the market.

Are the lic. plates in Arizona "larger" then the ones we have in California ?

I think there's going to be a new demand for a lic. plate section kits now.

What do you consider a "stock" floor? just because the cab floor hasn't been cut, the bed floor has. If you going to be critical of Air Rides system you should at least compare apples to apples.

I was refering to the cab floor in the truck being stock. You can now get the "body drp" "channeled" look without having to modify the trucks floor, or Z'ing the front rails. I was compairing apples to apples when I posted the pictures of the two available bolt-on systems for the 73-87 trucks. Some people will like the truck comp-letely on thje ground, where another will be happy with the truck a little higher off the ground.
If you want me to be critical of systems I will be glad to do so. I can go into details outlining the difference between the two systems if that's what you would like. Apples to Apples, laying out to not laying out.

Re: Street Rod Sugar Daddy (Dino63's 78 C-10)

it is all simply a matter of compromise... if you want to lay on the ground, you have to compromise bed floors, inner fenders, etc... if you want a simple bolt-in kit then it can't go as low.

That was my point. I ain't doggin no one, just saying there is a reason the ART isn't on the ground. It's the same reason my 77 Cheyenne ain't on the ground. Sometimes you just don't want to hack holes in your bed, and there is a market for that.

Don't get me wrong, it's not liked I'm scared to cut one up....

They mentioned above that the rears are 22" and the fronts are 20" but they did put the rears up front just to check and they did fit fine. Dino just liked the 22/20 combo better!

Great looking truck for a box! JK

With a 2.5" drop spindle and a ART lower Strong Arm you can lay frame with a 22" wheel and tire combo (assuming its between 29" and 30" tall).

If you're a baller slap on a 3" drop spindle and a ART lower Strong Arm and lay out on a twenty-foe (31" diameter tire)!
