Thanks I'm liking this idea. Just another custom touch. It has some structural stuff to work out but ya I'm liking it.

Re: 67 long box

Going to use a factory side mount to hold it? There are some out here in AB.
Hey we are back in Ayr the week of May 11th to 18th. Would love to swing by and have a peek at the truck.

Good to hear I'll be around that week so sure give me a shout when. I'm home anytime is good. I'm trying to figure out the mount yet but something custom and look like it could be factory.

Re: 67 long box

Wheel tub is done, I put some 3/16 round bar on the bottom to keep a gap between the tire and a drain hole. Sprayed it with stone guard and done.

Re: 67 long box

Took it out for a spin/100 miles after I put in the spare tire tub. First run of the year and it felt great. It was so nice to hear that old engine I didn't turn the radio on.

Re: 67 long box

Just like all the mods you have done it turned out great, creative modding is the reason this is one of my favorite builds.

Thanks man. Nothing is impossible if want to spend money, it's the challenge to create without money. All it takes is an idea and a crap load of knowledge, ability, and a couple of hand tools. I have tried to learn every part of building so I can have a truck I built. Tequila can also add to your creative thoughts, it's worked for me LOL.

Mmmm tequila.... That also gives me ideas. Some good, some not so good. Still love this truck bud. Awesome work.

Re: 67 long box

Thanks. Had it out for a spin and now has quieter doors after I put rubber anti vibration on the rods. Trying to find rattles when you're deaf in one ear makes it tough when driving.

Re: 67 long box

Thanks Big block, I'm in the process of making a hold down strap. The front will hook on and the back will have the flip lock.

Thanks I'm liking it there as well. I don't even see it while driving and I have plans to build a storage box/ cooler for traveling to shows and up to the cottage.

Re: 67 long box

Added a custom touch to the tire strap, I put stickers down put three coats of paint on it. Took the stickers off and put 2 more coats on so the CHEVROLET is sunken in.

Re: 67 long box

Good work on the spare strap setup. Looks like something the factory should have done.

Thanks I really like it there and it looks like it should be factory. Next is a storage box and cooler set up. One custom mod at a time. LOL

Not sure where I got the idea but I like it and the letters make it look like it was stamped. Looks like it could or should have been factory.

Re: 67 long box

I like this pic, it all looks like it came that way but, 2 inch bed raise, 2 inch wheel mini tubs, cantilevered tailgate, sunken spare, respaced composite deck boards and all screw down bed from the top.

Thanks I don't see in a blind spot and it's on the passenger side to change a tire on the side of the road.

Re: 67 long box

I'm real happy with the Vintage air kit, 85 degs today and 41 deg out of the vents. So glad I put it in instead of the air ride. If I had the money maybe air ride too. Makes driving it more funner.
