There have been some posts of original crew cab trucks poster on here in the past. The ones I remember were government trucks, used in the forest service, etc. The back doors were the same as the front, and there was a piece of "V" shaped sheet metal between the top part of the windows, rather funky lookin'. I'm not sure if they were GM factory made, or from a conversion company. I think we have one member from Alaska that has one of them, maybe some others, can't remember for sure.

Check the parts board, someone posted a dually without fenders and it looks a lot better than a truck with fenders.

GM didn't build crew cabs, but they sold them...much like the camaro convertable of a few years ago...not GM built, but sold as if it was. The pics on that link to my site are all crew cabs that were sold through GM.
Here's a few pics of a Longhorn with step side fenders in the back. It was for sale a few months ago...big block, TH400, 5th wheel, it was sold back to the original owner who made all the mods in the first place.

That "truck's" (and I use the term verrrry loosely) cab in your pic is actually a cut down suburban body. It's an efficient way of making a 67-72 crew cab truck, but definately not GM factory produced. Longhornman is correct, true vintage crew cabs were and aftermarket conversion by grafting together 2 truck cabs.
