'71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

This is the top of the line steering wheel for Chevy cars in 71/72, perfect for a Cheyenne Super mild custom. Very comfortable, has weight to it, and is a softer material to touch. Pretty cool subtle woodgrain accents including an inlay around the rim. Very classy. Everything there, in excellent condition, a great feel, 15 1/4" diameter, bolt-on. I looked on Ebay and the less fancy ones in this condition are going for $200-$300. I'd like to get $200 + shipping/postal m.o.

Re: '71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

Curious if that would fit my cousins neighbors sons 81 diesel Chevette with the 31x10.5 buckshot mudders. It’s brown with red stripes and that wheel would really set it apart from the others eh?

Re: '71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

It would fit, but I think people would want all original on that one.

This wheel would look great with the woodrain and I'd do a Custom Deluxe seat for a luxury truck interior. Narrow whitewalls, red rims, and wheel covers... how about Caprice* or other era wheelcovers if not the truck ones. Be a trend setter. I had a plan but I'm sticking with my two GMCs now.

* color coordinated

What’s that hubcap off of. I love it in that beautiful shade of green. First one I have ever seen like it. True story

Re: '71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

Those are '70s Caprice wheelcovers. They were all color coordinated with body color. They are 15". If you look at the wheelcovers offered over the years on the cars, some are pretty good looking and would look great on a truck. Just need to make sure they are the fullsize 15".

I didn't mention it, but there is no discoloration/worn color on this wheel. I see there is just the wheel, N.O.S., but w/o woodgrain inlay, in red on Ebay for $600. Whoa Nelly. I see others for cheaper than mine, like a plain black one with gaps in the rim for $85, others in better shape for a bit more. I had found a decent one I didn't think was nice as mine, no woodgrain in rim, for $300 and that's what I priced mine by. And I look I look at GM steering wheels all the time and a nice wheel is around $200

Re: '71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

Honestly, I'm not exactly which model this came from. The wheels I see don't have the inlaid woodgrain rim. I had a truck I was doing a red interior that changed directions. I thought this would be a really nice change to the interior. It's in fantastic shape.

Re: '71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

Nice OEM GM truck and car wheels are hard to find in nice shape in any style. This wheel has the feel. That first softer material that was nicer to grip. Pretty cool way to add another touch of woodgrain to a not quite original Cheyenne Super

Re: '71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

Bringing this nice and different wheel to the top on it's the one year anniversary of the last post. A luxurious hard to find high end Chevy wheel with woodgrain to go match the interior of your mild custom Cheyenne Super. Soooo luxurious

Re: '71-'76 Caprice Steering Wheel

Give that woodgrain 70-72 interior an extra touch of Chevy luxury with this soft grip Caprice steering wheel. A real conversation starter.
