New Shoes for my 70 K5
So my 70 Blazer is ready for new shoes! The present tires were on a 69 K20 when I bought it in 1999. When I bought the K20 it had been in storage for about 10 years so these tires are old. I like to call them chunky as when I do a burnout, chunks fly!
Anyway, Monday I had a 30% coupon in my email for Goodyear tires. Couldn’t pass that up! Using my Goodyear credit card got me an additional $150 rebate so the new Wrangler DuraTrac 35”s ended up costing me $920. Tires and new rims arrived yesterday, just a day after ordered. Got the tires mounted on new Pro Comp Series 69’s yesterday afternoon. New lug nuts should arrive today so should be rolling tonight!

Re: New Shoes for my 70 K5
Got the tires installed last night. Very pleased with the ride and at 65 mph my rpm's are at 2,500 so that's about perfect for me. Glad the truck has 4.10's.

Re: New Shoes for my 70 K5
I currently have Falken Wildpeaks that need replacing. I've been thinking about getting Duratracs also but wasn't sure how the Blazer would look with them. Now I know!
Duratracs are great tires. We have 3 vehicles with them. |

That combo on your truck looks great. What size are the wheels? Are the 15"s?

Re: New Shoes for my 70 K5
Ordering my Duratracs today.
33 X 12.5 X 15 on sale for $229 each Canadian, equivalent to around $155 US. I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Edit; just got back. I was lucky enough to find 4 tires because there's no stock out in our area for tires due to this Covid. Cost me $1062.00 CND ($722 US) out the door for 4 tires. Not too shabby! Re: New Shoes for my 70 K5
Looks awesome. And agree, 4.10 is perfect street gear for 35" tires and a carburetor!
