That looks decent. I have the cheapo deluxe $30 stand from harbor freight and its a pos. i have my 5.3 v8 on it and i swear every time i turn around the front of the motor is an inch closer to the concrete. Not a very good stand, but you get what you pay for.

I have a harbor freight one, but I don't think its their cheapest. Ive had a 500 CI Caddy engine hanging on it for many years and hasn't move an inch.

The Northern Tools one looks pretty nice, but I don't know if I would pay that much for an engine stand.

I have an el'cheapo stand. I put my 455 on it and it sagged towards the floor. It made me nervous so I kept my engine hoist hooked to it.

Re: Anyone ever used this brand of engine stand ?

i cant deal with the 3 wheel foot crushers. Im borrowing one that looks just like that now and its sturdy. It would need a way longer stick to be able to spin the engine though. Oh and with the splayed out legs it doesnt fit well under an engine hoist to make the swap from hoist to stand.

looks close to mine,(mine dson't fold)and Princess is a great place and no hassle returns.
I've attached the mount to the block, slid the mount into the hole, once attached, lowered the stand/block to the ground with it attached
with either the lift or the stand I don't try to push it over a "lip" or bump
I put the handle in the open end of the leg and lift it over the lip
