Door glass no frame?

I have a 1950 Chevy with 1 pc door glass. I am interested in using glass without the frame around the galss. Have others done this? What fuzy track did you get? The 1953 style track would be the right thickness but not long enough. Also without the frame will the glass be more prone to cracking? Thanks.

Re: Door glass no frame?

PDW, shouldn't be a problem. I to have a 50, I'm using plane glass. Since I made mine into a roadster, glass is held in place at front and bottom, no problems with breakage...Jim

I am considering doing the same thing. I know I can buy fuzzies that will fit the glass and should be able to get them longer that the onse I bought for my 55 sedan. Those were pre-curved and I think you can get them long enough, and straight.

Might be experimental
