Folks I hate to sound like a broken record (or for you young guys, a skipping CD) but these brackets are top notch and worth the investment.

question. I bought some factory 4X10s thinking I might make them work (bad idea). i want some of these, but on the 4X10s, the brackets go up past the seat belts on my '77. will these 6X9 Brackets work on a 77 wit shoulder straps? if so I think i want some

I would lightly sand them to give them some tooth for the primer to bite, clean with a 50/50 ammonia/water mix, then prime and paint. Powdercoating would be ideal and the most durable...but a liitle more expensive.

Yeah, 77 is the weird year...those mid mount retractors get in the way. If you want to run the brackets, you need to change out the seatbelts to the 78+ with the low mount retractors.

Working on finishing the interior and finally installed these...Love them...They look awesome covered in flat krylon rust tough

Thanks!! I actually bought self taps screws and a long phillips bit just to make the install easy....It took some work on some self tp screws...Its pretty dang solid construction...Thanks again
