Derale Transmission Pan Coolers

Has anyone used one of these Derale Transmission coolers that replaces the pan in a TH350? It has tubes in it that allows air to pass through the bottom of the pan and cool the fluids. Are they effective? It is a cool concept but I wonder about the amount of surface area for cooling.

Re: Derale Transmission Pan Coolers

Ive looked at them. I like the idea. I'm sure it works to some degree. IDK if it works as good as they claim but it certainly couldnt hurt. I think if a guy needed a new pan or one with a drain plug and tranny temp port it would be money well spent especially if doing any towing or run a high stall.

Re: Derale Transmission Pan Coolers

I need to replace a traditional trans cooler, hung up in front of the radiator, and will consider doing this, although it is much more expensive so that is a downside.
