performance online

How would you guys take this? I placed an order yeterday about 3:30 pm thier time and they would not cancell it this morning at 9:00am It was not shipped yet and they offered to modify the order. They would not let me cancell. They kept threatening me with a 10% restocking fee. I understand the 5%. "All cancelled orders that have already been paid by Credit Card or Paypal are subject to a 5% cancellation fee. This is to recover the fees we have incurred with your purchase. If payment has NOT been processed, then no fee will be incurred. FREIGHT CHARGES: Freight charges WILL be reimbursed if you received a defective part or if the part you ordered was not the one received or on Warranty items. Freight charges WILL NOT be reimbursed if you ordered the wrong part or you decide you do not want/need the product ordered." Its turned into a nightmare. There's alot more to it , but i just wanted to see what you guys think about this before i write anything else.

Re: performance online

Sounds lame if they have done nothing yet. I think if you paid by credit card you have some leverage.

Re: performance online

If it was paid by credit card, call the carrier and tell them to cancel/dispute the charges. As long as you've got a decent company, they'll take care of it.

IMO there are two sides to the story. Your's, there's, and the truth. If the order was truely placed but hasn't been processed/picked it's crappy on their part not to just cancel if requested.

Re: performance online

I'm not 100% sure if it was processed yet but from the fed ex tracking it was picked up a 5:00 tonight. I called at 9:00 this morning. I wonder what their window for cancelling an order is. I had originally ordered front and rear disc brake kit.(decided i did not want the rears). The price for the kit is 1607.00 shipped. At 5% thats roughly eighty dollars.(wich I had no problem with) After going round and and round with this guy(In my opinion he was rude and treated me like a child) we agree that i will get the front kit only. Then he was asking 40.00 more than the kit was listed for. I asked why and he said im still getting the front and rear kit but he's removing all the rear parts from it.(It should be just a front kit then?). I said fine, hung up the phone recalled right away asked for a supervisor to ask about the price difference. I was put on hold. I was on my break at work and had to hang up. Called again the next break he was unavailable. called again after work talked to him he didnt know what I was getting. He told me that the order shipped already(not according to the fedex tracking info) and if i didnt want it or part of it i could ship it back, pay the shipping and a 20% restocking fee. I'm at fault for wanting to change and or cancel the order but I was hoping they work with me a little. The shipping weight is 172 Lbs so i guess Im getting the whole kit.I just really really hope its right and with no defects or im really going to be screwed from the way this is going.

Re: performance online

You're not the first person this month that I have heard say negative things about P.O.L's customer service. They have good prices on products, but I guess you're still paying one way or another.

Re: performance online

You kind of have to wonder when your only two posts are to complain about a company. Doesn't hold much water IMO.

As far as the company.....two other guys have had some issues so maybe buyer beware.

Either way, a good lesson learned here. Know what you want before you order it.
