Re: some info on 2wd blazers

No idea how many were made. What it is worth depends on the condition. With out pics or description it's like trying to milk a cow over the phone. It can be done but it aint easy....

Re: some info on 2wd blazers

I think what I have heard is the 2wd made up 7% of total production of Blazers. Not sure how much that varied from year to year though?

Sounds like less rust than mine - and I live where the rust is not supposed to be bad and you live where it is supposed to be ridiculous?!?

Re: some info on 2wd blazers

When I had my '73 I did some research and found out that about 44k of the 4wd models were rolled off the line but one about 3k of the 2wd version. So kevinr1970 is about on the money. Personally I think you got a great deal if it is as described. Of course you realize we are picture junkies so snap a few this weekend and post em up!

Re: some info on 2wd blazers

I think you got a pretty good deal too, especially if it is as rust free as it looks in the pictures. Those are car rally wheels, but are most likely either off of an Impala or are aftermarket (most cars have a smaller bolt circle, 5 on 4.75).

Re: some info on 2wd blazers

It looks like a decent deal. The body has been repainted and it looks like there are rust spots starting to bubble out. If you just want to drive it, it will be great. If you want to restore it or repaint it, It looks kind of scary.

Re: some info on 2wd blazers

I'd say considering the age and location it's about as rust free as one could get in NY. sure it needs rockers and wheel arches, but don't most of them back there that saw ANY time on the road?

Given the location and the cost I'd say it was a good deal. Heck the Rally Wheels alone could sell for a 1/3rd to 1/2 the purchase price if all the rings and caps are there and in good condition.

It looks to have less rust than some of you rustbelters started out with at least!

Still not sure about the floor pans in the front or the section at the tailgate, but those are common areas to rust and fix too.
