Summit cylinder heads

I have been considering new cylinder heads for my blazer for some time. I see that summit racing is now carrying their own line of cylinder heads. Does anyone know who makes them or if there are any problems with them. I wanted to go with a set of Vortec but these heads seem like they will work for overall less money. The truck is a 72 blazer with 4 speed and a 3.07 rear. The motor is a basic Goodwrench crate with about 10k for milage. The truck is used 90% of the time for towing.

This post would get you a lot more responses in the engine/drivetrain section.

I just saw the ad for those heads in Summits catalog, and like you, wonder about them. This ratchet jawing of mine will bring this back to top, maybe somebody on the board has some info.

aren't those heads about 350 bucks each? dosen't sound like a screamin deal to me. The chambers are the old stock style. I think you can get Dart "Darties" 165 for about the same price.
