will also need a positive block and negative block - I hate just adding onto the battery post ect...

Here's how I think I did the fan relays. I ordered this kit from Ebay, that come with the weather seals and a weatherproof enlclosure that I discovered was too small for 3 relays:

You are going to need special crimpers for the Delphi Metri-Pack 280 series sealed female terminals and cable seals.

Since the enclosure in the kit above wouldn't fit 3 of the Micro 280 relays by Song Chuan I ended up getting this enclosure - https://www.customconnectorkits.com/pdm-t3ac1/
I can't figure out exactly where I got it from(the place I linked seems cheap, but you could search the part number and find other sellers), but I had to order some more terminals and "blank" waterproofing plugs to fill all the empty holes.


I used the following fuse holder to feel the relay enclosure.

Wiring the fan relays was not fun for me, because I had the front sheet metal assembled already and I was trying to keep the wires short and it was just a tight area.

I ordered and still have the first block you picture and that will definitely work. Especially since you have the relay already. I would still encourage you to do the 3 relay fan set up.

Even having one fan running full blast is really loud.

The people that sold me that first relay enclosure have some cool bus bar's in their ebay store. I'm sure other sell them, but they had one with 5/16 bolts and another with 3/8 - https://www.ebay.com/itm/132444261679 and https://www.ebay.com/itm/132444387604

Hopefully not confuse you more. If you have not purchased your fuel delivery components yet maybe look at Vaporworx. Using Carl's controller will get you away from the old school return systems and provide reliability of a factory fuel pump and other benefits. This is the controller I am using https://www.vaporworx.com/shop/produ...le-controller/ Picking up some more parts from him on Thursday as he is near to me. Will control the stock pump for my motor and will work with many other LS motors. Many advantages going with oem deadhead pump (especially pwm) over aftermarket return style systems.Super nice guy and is very smart. Nothing gained from recommending his company, just like him.

Richard I agree - I thought and considered Vaporworx for quit some time - I really liked the idea of GM components - ultimately I went with the Boyd Welding setup using a Aeromotive 340 pump

I wired the fuel pump at the tank last night - the one thing I couldn't figure out is they tell you that a 10 gauge wire is required ( a 14 gauge is what comes in the Painless Harness) so I ran a separate 10 gauge wire HOWEVER the wires coming out of the pump themselves appear to be in the 12 to 14 gauge range ?? Anyone else notice that?

I used my seperately run 10 ga wire but thought it was odd

I notices the wiring gauge difference too. But you need the heavier gauge wire to keep voltage from dropping over the long distance from the battery. Those last few inches don't matter because you have the full voltage at the end of the 10ga...

Two speed fans.
Both fans run either at slow speed or both at high speed.
Incorporates two fans and uses three relays.
Used in conjunction with aftermarket air.
Assumes the ECM has a high and low temperature outputs from the computer.
This setup is not for PCM setups. (pulse width modulated)
Does quiet the fans when only low speed it required.
Air Conditioning ON is connected to the HS ground and runs both at high speed.

Am using a single 850 watt 19" PWM fan in my application. My e67 ecu from the Camaro my motor came from should provide the correct negative control signal for the fan I have. Just added the pins and wires into my PSI harness to accommodate the stock GM A/C pressure sensor the other day. Saw Carl at Vaporworx yesterday. He believes my setup should work. If not, he has a PWM fan controller that can be configured for PWM + or -.
As far as wire gauge any wire in circuit needs to be rated for the maximum current device requires or it can act as a fuse. Over sizing wire to allow for voltage drop is a different subject. I am not an engineer, in my experience I have seen evidence using fine stranded wire in D/C applications allows more current draw than A/C

Odd to me that high speed is commanded with A/C call. FWIU an A/C call from a stock ecm or aftemarket pwm controller is only 50% to the fan/fans. Also with the pressure sensor installed fans will shut off at speed if they are not needed. Obviously if the motor needs cooling higher speed call will always take preference. Problems arise mostly with two fans and only operating one at a time. Recirculation of engine compartment air through the unpowered fan reduces efficiency.
