Steering box upgrade

My steering box is fairly old and worn out and in need of replacement. Is there an aftermarket box that might have a bit quicker of a steering ratio that anyone uses or recommends? Thanks for your help.

Re: Steering box upgrade

I ordered this one:
http://www.classicheartbeat.com/cata...ing%20Gear.htm

I believe it is made by redhead, i think the only thing that differs them from redheads is that they have a different turning ratio. Having said that i think you can order them directly from redhead with the same turning ratio if you wanted.
I got some other stuff from classic heartbeat that worked out and didn't mind sending him some business.

I rebuilt a box once. Afterwards, I core exchanged it for a rebuilt one...

It didn't turn out all that great but for $35 I figured I'd like to try it. After all, it's a hobby.

Ha,

a man just like me! I also think it is a myth that one should overcome their weaknesses - i prefer to bet on my strengths. Rebuilding a steering box wasn't one of them...

Re: Steering box upgrade

There are 2 things in this hobby I dont mess with. Brakes and steering. Messing those up seems to increase the chances of shortening my life expectancy. I embrace my limits haha.
