Looks legit to me. I've got a three legged dog that smokes a pipe and sings Bridge Over Troubled Water...I wonder if he's interested in a trade.

Wow! It's a Chevy Sierra Grande with the SS package! That's super rare! And just has a few small rust spots, but needs total restoration?

Rick, You are right. A "Rare Bird" indeed. I'm sure he has the build sheet for validation. This production model was the sister to the "Feathers Blazer". It was called the "Cukoo Blazer". The "Cukoo Blazers" are the rarest of all. So rare they are not known to exist. I thought we'd find Sasquatch before the Cukoo Blazer.

I admit, I was skeptical at first, but this looks legit. Says it has the 396 moter and everything.

Even rarer than I thought. VIN shows it's two wheel drive. That is rarest of rare Blazers now extinct. The "DoDo Blazer" !

Re: 1972 Blazer "SPECIAL EDITION" factory 396?

Judging by the stick poking up through the floor, doesn't appear to be an NP205. Must be the special order transfer case that came special with the 396 to handle the torque

And to think that member 01chevduramax wasted a nice smoked fish and a case of beer just to talk to this guy!

Re: 1972 Blazer "SPECIAL EDITION" factory 396?

I did email asking for engine, floor, spid pics so we'll see if anything comes back. Be interesting to see what the blazer was originally as it looks decent, just needs to knock off at least $15g.

You're right, I just compared it to another SPID, didnt catch that at first.

Seriously though, I'd almost bet its a Highlander, and the owner saw the "special promotional" in the SPID, and thinks its something really rare.

Oh, and where is the center console.................or did this rare Blazer not come with one?

50K, 20K, or 2 bucks, someone may end up with it and that's good. If they turn out to be a new member good also, they may need help to get it all straightened out.

Re: 1972 Blazer "SPECIAL EDITION" factory 396?

I sent a friendly email to this gentleman to tell him just how rare his blazer..i meant sierra grande.. i mean blazer actually is. I told him I would actually pay to see his "original documentation" . Huh.... haven't got a response back??? My last comment was to just please remove his ad. Some poor unfortunate soul will stumble across this and make a snap judgement and think they actually bought a 1 of 400 rare truck.

it would be cool if it were true. (cough cough) and I know a friend that would park it right between his 69 ZL-1 and one of his dozen Yenko Camaro's or Yenko Novas! At least its the same Color!
