Re: Blazer Body Mount Bolt Measurements

Just a heads up for anyone replacing their mounts with poly instead of rubber. I just did this and only a few of the stock length bolts worked. The poly mounts will require longer than stock bolts in almost every position. I think I was able to only use 2 or 4 stock length bolts, I can't remember for sure.

That's interesting...every poly set I've ever seen had 'thinner' bushings.

Thanks for posting up what you've run into.

Remaining parts to each position aside from the rubber body mounts.

Nope, I never shop @ LMC.

Bought my two sets from the board vendor Tim Christian of 'Christians Classics'.

Re: Blazer Body Mount Bolt Measurements

The set I got from Tim is what I would consider to be "complete".

There are other vendors out there selling...lets just say "not so complete" sets.

Talked with another blazer guy who just received one of those 'other' sets and it was missing these items:
* the square washers for the core support
* the 7/16 core support bolts
* ALL 4 concentric washers
* and both position #2 bolts were M.I.A.

At a premium price too.

What does the kit from Tim cost - I checked his site - but couldn't locate it in the product listings.

Thx for posting this (BTW) -

Re: Blazer Body Mount Bolt Measurements

You're making it too easy for rookies
We had to bleed, sweat & cry to get that far ahead in replacing them. I probly made 5 different trips to the bolt store to do mine hahaha

Just messin ~ Good for the community

When are you gonna ship me your tube doors? Not being a "harcore" wheeler anymore you don't need um

I can't remember what I paid Tim, it was over 6 months ago and I'm sure prices have gone up.

The incomplete kit in the pic was over $200.00 though.

Re: Blazer Body Mount Bolt Measurements

I'm wondering why it isn't in the FAQ section? Glad you brought this back ttt.

I replaced mine a couple years ago with a poly kit but I didn't get the concentric washers. Did I screw up? Why does it need the concentric washers? I have everything pretty torn apart at the moment, should I add them?

Re: Blazer Body Mount Bolt Measurements

Thanks for the great info!

Now... is the body mount kit the same for the 2wd and the 4x4 blazers??

I am having trouble finding a kit that says it is compatible with the 2wd blazer..

thanks

So the answer is "Yes, I should get them" looks like it keeps the body from shifting from side to side. Thanks Kurt, as usual you have made me realize that I need something that I didn't even know existed.

...well I'll take that as a 'good' thing.

The factory didn't use the washers but it seems like a good idea, can't hurt.

Re: Blazer Body Mount Bolt Measurements

It (offset washer) basically acts to lock the carriage bolt to the floor so you can tighten them down without welding the head to the bed.
