700R4 Problem

Hi guys. So I have all the parts to freshen up the motor in my truck; a rebuilt stock carburetor, upgraded camshaft, lifters, and timing gears and chain, a set of stainless steel headers (that will be followed by a 3 inch single exhaust), and new motor mounts.

My problem is with my transmission, which I just paid $1800 to have rebuilt which is going back to get fixed, but I wonder if you guys might have an idea of where to focus my discussion with the shop.

When the transmission is ice cold, it shifts perfect; it bangs right into 2nd and 3rd, positive and snappy. But after it warms up, under a load, it shudders into 2nd gear. 3rd gear still shifts okay, but it's a little slower, and even though I think it might go into 4th a little bit early, 4th always works good.

Do you think the 2nd gear shift problem might be an accumulator problem? Should I tell him to put in a stronger spring?

Thanks for any brain cells you might destroy thinking about this one.
