Nice, now you're starting to see the light at the end of tunnel! When I see paint being layed on then I know you're getting close to finishing the truck.

Yes it is, been here just over six years and love the place. That is what you get in the country, 10 acres lot with 2000 square feet of work space, i can fit easily six or seven cars in there. I will keep posting pics has i go for sure, right now we ran into some issues with the clear coat finish on the cab, lots of orange peal. I need to sort that out before i can do anything else.

You should be able to cut and buff that orange peel now problem. I hope it all works out for you and man you are lucky to have that amount of space.

Like the Flip Hood Kit. It would look great on my '57. Where did you get it, or did you manf. it? If so, do you have specs and drawings you will share?

Re: 55 2nd serie GMC

Quick question...how did you work out your tank filler? I got one yesterday just to have it but all the filler necks I saw at the salvage were bigger than the pipe on the tank. Did you find an easy way to hook it up? Maybe two hoses and an exhaust reducer piece? Thanks...Mike

My gas door is off a Dakota and yes some fab is required for the filler tube to the tank, right now i have to redo the first one i did. I don't really like the way it turned out, its a combination of steal pipe and rubber hose. The rubber hose has to be rated for gasoline.

Funny, the door I got came off a Ramcharger. I guess Dodges ARE good for something! (I have two of them in the driveway BTW)

Got the kit from Mar-k.com, fairly simple to install, just make sure you mesure twice and and drill only once. They will bind up if not install propely.
