raised white letters

So over the winter, the shinny stuff I used on my tires have bled onto the raised white letter, and have turned then brown.
I've tried a SOS pad and numerous cleaners, is there anything else that I could use to clean these up. the tires on have about 1,500 miles on them

thanks for everyone's help

You might try white wall tire cleaner. There are lots of different brands.

Re: raised white letters

I've found Wesley's bleach white works great. I just spray it on, then hit it with a brush while I spray it off. Just don't leave it dry on the tire.

Edit: Don't use the same "shiney stuff" next time.

Double edit: Where in PA are you? I'm between Erie & Pitts.

Re: raised white letters

I use "Son'of'a'gun" that I get at dollar general...its cheap, and works hella great on my tires. $2.50 for a 20oz rattle can of it...

Re: raised white letters

Give your tires a good cleaning at the car wash and apply white shoe polish to them. It really brightens up the white and I have seen fellows do it in preparation for shows and cruise-ins. It is not permanent, but neither is Armor-All. Apply it before the tire shine, otherwise it will not stick, very well.

Re: raised white letters

FANTASTIC brand spray on cleaner right out of the squirt-bottle, & a plastic produce scrubber brush. Tires run-off brown color road dirt, letters sparkle white.

Whenever I wash it ...............
