1971-72 Accelerator Questions

In a few days I’m going to be installing a 71-72 cable pedal in my 1960 GMC. Has anyone purchased an aftermarket replacement pedal like this one from Classicparts?



If you have, please advise where you bought it and if you have been happy with the quality. I have been very disappointed with aftermarket 1960 gas pedals. Compared to an original, the metal core is too thin and the pedal bends in the middle. I’m hoping the later version is better made.

Also, I’d appreciate if anyone can provide the length of the stock throttle cable from the firewall to the forward connector as indicated below. I’d like to confirm it will reach before investing:
