20x10s on the front

I love the deep lip on all four corners so here is what I am doing, 20x10s front and rear, narrowed the bottom a-arm so it would pull the front wheel in 1 inch so I can tuck these and still turn when aired out. What do you guys think?

Not yet, they are back ordered till the 15th so I just pulled one of my rear wheels off to make sure it was going to work

Re: 20x10s on the front

Looks good!
I was wondering about a 20x10 on the front myself.
How much did you shorten the lower A-arm? Did you do anything with the uppers?

Would it have been easier to use a set of modular drop spindles?

Re: 20x10s on the front

I already had drop spindles so I was not about to buy another pair,
Conundrum I didnt do anything with the upper because i had it shimmed out as far as I could on the top for the negative chamber so I thought i would shorten the bottom and it would pull the top in so I didnt have all the shims. I have not tested this theory out yet so dont go cutting your arms yet...LOL I will keep you guys posted as soon as I put the arms on. I put the wheel on with the stock a-arm so i could figure out how much I needed. I also had the 18x8 with 4 in back spacing on there and could turn, so 4in of lip. So I thought a 20x10 with the 5 backspace would be 5in lip, so if i move it in 1 in, it should be the same...in my head it works anyway...LOL

I wasn't planning on cutting mine up just yet, lol. I still have to get it to my house and get started on my Z before I can start anything like that. I also need to figure out just what wheels i'm going to run first. But I understand your math and I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work out, there are a lot of shims on the uppers of these trucks. You would think that as long as they were built GM would have done something a little different so there wasn't a need for that many shims.

I can't wait to see how the turns out!
