Is it bad when your own snoring wakes you up.....

.....and you're lying under the truck?

C'mon.......I can't be the only one!!

I was doing an LOF on the Chevy and after the last zerk fitting I nodded off.

Only if it's because it woke your wife up first.

The first time I woke my self up it started with a dream, don't remember what it was about, but during the dream I remember thinking, what is that awful noise, and it just kept getting louder and louder until I was awake and realized it was me snoring.

I dunno, El Jay.... I'd be a lot less concerned about waking yourself up with you own snoring, than dozing off while greasing your truck!!

El Jay, I think I'd be darned sure to wipe any excess grease off the zerk before dozing off.You wouldn't want the grease to drip in your mouth while your laying back doing some good open mouth 90db snoring.

Re: Is it bad when your own snoring wakes you up.....

Hell, at my age, "ya takes your breaks when you can get em"

There's is only 1 other person (well, family household) that has keys to my automotive junk & the house house combined (& I reckon everybody knows who that would be), & another person that has a key to the house.

A short, off topic anecdote;
Within the last couple of months I was outside working on one vehicle, or the other.
The kid that has keys to rolled up. And something like the following conversation ensued:
Me: Hey Dood, wuzzup?
He: You aren't answering your land line, or cell phone.
Me: (After looking at my belt.) My cell phone is on the kitchen counter.
He: Well I came by to check on you.

IMHO, it's great to have folks who would drive all the way across town just to check on you well being.

Chevyboy55;
I was done with the job. I just hadn't slid out from under the truck yet.

Either you and Andy work yourselves too hard or you fellers are getting old. Falling asleep under trucks. I will be polite and assume you work yourselves too hard.
As far as simply waking yourself up with your own snoring; yeah I have done it numerous times. My wife recorded me one time with her phone, all I can say is I dont know how she get's any sleep.

I don't snore anymore since I lost my weight. I think I did wake up once or twice at some point but my snoring really wasn't always that bad.

Actually "Pop" was my dad.

And I am El Jays cousin, not nephew... see, his mom and my mom were sisters, and his dad and my dad were brothers....

If'n I need organs, he is my man (except maybe the liver) and he wont want my ticker, it would never make it out of my chest alive.

but thanks for the hat tipping anyway

Durring my divorce, i was working 70+ hr weeks... I work in a shop... it'll happen from time to time when you put all that together and throw in a huge helping of liquor every night.

With that being said, i can sleep anytime, anywhere. in highschool we were required to go to the stupid gay pep rallys. I showed my disaproval by going to sleep in the bleachers.
Plus, and Fine69 will back me up on this... when he and I flew to Portland a few months ago, as soon as we got on the plain in Chicago, there was a kid screaming and crying in the seat right behind us. I knew it was gonna suck, so i went to sleep. I never knew the plane even took off, I was OUT!
When i was a M-1 mechanic in the army, i learned to sleep with the tanks firing there main guns less than 1/4 mile from me, and also was able to sleep in a 56 ton recovery vehicle (think tank tow truck) going down the road with a 1900+ cubic inch twin turbo diesel with no muflers (you could hear them 10 miles away on a quiet night)
Like I said, i can sleep any time, anywhere.
And no... I'm not old at all. I'll be 35 in a week or so.

Re: Is it bad when your own snoring wakes you up.....

you gotta look at the whole package man
I crack myself up.
yeah, i'm only 35... I know I look older, you don't need to remind me. I have a 17 year old spirit with the face of a 40 year old and traped in a 50 year old's body.
But that's OK... chicks still dig it. Ask around, it's a well known fact.

Why do I hear laughing?
