OBS Tweaks and Mods
Hey guys. We all know OBS's are great trucks the way they are. But, none of us can leave them alone. I want to see any tweaks and mods that you do, just to see what is out there. The point of this is knowledge sharing. Maybe you have a tip or tweak that other people havent seen yet. Im talking about the little subtle things that really stand out. Lights in the upper corners, modded taillights, dash tweaks, etc. I even want to see simple stuff like leds in the cupholders.

Re: OBS Tweaks and Mods
Simplest and best looking fix to me was 73-87 rally wheels. Used them on my 92 and 96. I am not a big fan of large wheels, but love these on the OBS.
The 92 only had 235/75x15 (they came with the wheels). The last set I ran on the 96 were 31x10.50x15. The trim rings on the 96 came off an F150 which I liked better than the original trim rings.

Re: OBS Tweaks and Mods
I agree on the rally's. I have a 4wd Yukon with 33s with them, IMO looks better than any factory wheel and most aftermarket. I'm not into the huge wheel thing either, or having stick way out. Something I did that was a huge upgrade, was change to Kodiak door handles. Much easier to open, especially in the winter when the seals tend to freeze and stick.

Re: OBS Tweaks and Mods
I didn't add this sun visor, it was on when I got the truck. I like it. There are drain holes in the contours, but if I park on a slope and it rains they hold enough water to dump when I move. It took a couple times, but I leave the windows shut until it clears. Bug shield was also on it, and big tires.

Re: OBS Tweaks and Mods
here is a welded roll pan, hidden hitch behind plate (blacked out for pic)
i have always liked these trucks WITH handles, being smooth and body color hides them. this also has the sport mirrors, and the stake pockets filled and smoothed. |

Re: OBS Tweaks and Mods
I put 7" Accuride wheels on my Suburban off an F350 with '76-'91 hubcaps. I also tweaked the torsion bars to raise the front end 2". I also ran dual exhaust behind the rear wheels. I removed the emblem from the tailgate meaning to install an earlier (square body) one, but haven't done it yet.
First two are pictures from the ad when I found it and next two are after I tweaked it
