T-5 trans info needed please

Good afternoon guys n gals.
Got another Manual trans question for you guys.

Might be doing some trading for a T-5 from a V8 Mustang as a
'Parts' trans since I have another (internally complete) T-5 from a early-mid 90's S-10.

Question is, Do the internals swap out and would the Ford internals be tougher since it was from a V8 instead of just a V6, like the S-10?
If not, probably not worth my time..?
Projected engine will be either a hopped up .060 283, or a warmed over std 327. So nothing upwards of 400hp lol..

Pretty much all I need is a small hole bellhousing and fork for the S-10 T-5
(got some contacts. But nothing yet)

Thanks E

Re: T-5 trans info needed please

Ford input shafts are different lengths, spline count, and pilot diameter different than the GM trans.

You can adapt a Ford to GM and if you Google "mustang t5 c3 Corvette" you can find a lot of that info. You need to have some customer pieces and cost will go way up.

Re: T-5 trans info needed please

Thanks Mike. I'll give it a read.

....Ok, looks like it's NOT going to help me for what I'm trying to do.
