Eat your heart out fellas.

Yesterday I finally picked up a truck I have been trying to buy for the past 8 years and have admired since I was 8 years old. This truck was down the street from the house I grew up in and for the past few years I have been trying very hard to buy this truck. It has been in car shows here in New Mexico years ago and has won a few trophies but has sat for the past 15 years.
This is a 1967 GMC super custom 3/4 ton two-wheel drive. It came with all of the original interior but it looks like it has been redone. When I was looking to buy the truck all the interior was covered in blankets. Thank goodness cuz look how good it looks now the 351 V6 has been replaced with a 350 but other than that it is all original. I'm definitely getting rid of those rims and putting the original hubcaps back on that the owner's wife still had in the garage. I just need to find the eight lug steel wheels with clips.
Tell me what you guys think. I love this truck

And I already came up with a name for my new girl here. I think I'm going to call her "pine box" cuz this is the one I'm going to get buried in. LOL

Yep that is my daughter who helped me power wash it for all of 5 minutes before she got bored with it. LOL but she can't wait for me to get all the fluids changed out and get the brakes going again so I can drive it.

Re: Eat your heart out fellas.

Nice truck.
Persistence's pays off.

I like the name.
There's a 72 up the road that I asked the story on.
They was having a Yard sale.
I asked the middle-aged guy about the truck.
He said when the guy that owns it passes away,
They will put the steering wheel in his hands.

Going back to steel wheels is a Great choice.

Re: Eat your heart out fellas.

Things are looking good for that truck, now that you own it. Didn't all '67 Super Customs come with bucket seats?

Re: Eat your heart out fellas.

Actually all 67 super custom trucks and cst chevy trucks came with bucket seats as far as i have seen. It was part of the package. In 68 they became a seperate option. If it is a super custom it should have these holes across the back of the cab behing the seat to hold the gastank blanket up and the center seat bracing. Maby check to see if they are in your cab. If they are there it came with buckets. Does it still have the ram style power steering? If so how does it work?

ram steering is stil in there and functional... it has a carpet over the gas tank but its defiantly a 67 bench. its nevee been swapped,,,, the seat flips forward like a 67 only and the side release lever is a 67
also the spid shows a super custom package.
my first 67 was a cst package and it was bench as well
