Rear Seat dimensions and bracket pictures

So we recently purchased a 72 suburban that came with 3 rows of seats. The middle seat was installed and the 3rd row seat is not and does not have brackets on it. The 2nd row seat is shorter than the one that is in the back(3rd row?), and the one in the back is wider than the wheel wells.

So couple of questions. What are the dimensions approximately of the middle and 3rd row seats? Are they the same or is one longer?

I believe the 3rd row seat should have around a 4 inch bracket. Does anyone have any pics of brackets they have fabricated? Or is there a place to buy them from?

All the seats have the same upholstery so I'm thinking they are out of the same vehicles and look like suburban seats from the 67-72 time frame.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Rear Seat dimensions and bracket pictures

I would like to know as well. I am no expert, but I have a detail from chevy that says the second and third seats are both 50 inches. They are the same width, but the second seat is pushed all the way to the drivers side of the truck, and the third seat is located between the wheel wells.

Scott has it right. The middle and third seat would be the same width.

If ordered with no third seat, the front and rear bench were similar widths but not exact.

The second seat brackets are 9 1/2 inches tall in the front and only a couple inches tall in the rear. The third seat sits up a little higher with 4 inch brackets. I think rear seat brackets for Blazer/Jimmy are similar if not the same

Re: Rear Seat dimensions and bracket pictures

ok thank you guys! I really appreciate it.

I think maybe my Suburban came with just the front and middle seat and the previous owner picked up a third row seat and mounted it in the middle.
