Re: pics of truck campers

I wish I had a pic of mine when I bought it in the 1980's ,it had a 9.5 foot "Corda Lane" that was on since new and never been off.

Here is another shot of one I found online.

Re: pics of truck campers

That's sweet - the truck (just the truck) looks a lot like the one in the 69 and 70 camper/rec vehicle sales brochure.

EDIT - and a lot like this ol girl:

Kinda like this? Ignore the date on the picture. It was actually sometime in 1970. 1969 Honda CL175 if I recall correctly. I sold the bike but still have the truck and camper. Jocko posted this earlier in post 4..

Looks sharp, those eight foot are nice because you can close the tailgate and they are very light.

Hope you find one for yours!

Re: pics of truck campers

defanantly brings back memories ! my brother and i travled all over the u.s. in a camper in the early 70`s , dad worked const. when one job was done mom loaded everthing up and off to the next state . best part was the blow up doughnut gasket that dad put in so the rear glass could come out so mom could crawl from the cab to the camper to help us , or throw cheesburgers at us! you would get thrown in jail now for travelling with your kids in back !!

Re: pics of truck campers

this needs to come back to the top! Even though the OP asked for pics of Custom Campers, there's a thread for that - but the title of this thread says it all - show us your campers. Here's some 67-72s with campers I found while researching some Mitchell info. The first two and last are supposedly from Bud Mitchell-arranged camping meets to showcase the new Mitchell campers for the year. The 68 Custom Camper is sweet. 1st pic is Monument Valley.

My 72 Cheyenne 20 Longhorn the day I picked up a 72 Sportsman 11ft. Love the side door, gives it a lot of extra room.
