1967 Pontiac Pickup?...

A friend of mine on Deviantart.com, drew up a '67 Pontiac pickup, with the question "what if?". What if Pontiac had made a pickup?. Click on the link below to see the photo, and let me know what you guys think.

Not my style, looks too much like the Monkee Mobile. But definately an intriguing idea.

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...

Pontiac didn't need a pickup truck in the 60s. their Bonneville/Catalina trunks were almost as large as a short box...

but how about a 67-68 4x4 Firebird?

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...

A member spotted a gold SWB that was done up,pretty well,as a Pontiac and showed pictures. I thought I saved them, but didn't find them. Does anyone else have those pictures saved?

Now we know why Pontiac didnt build trucks. I will say I like his neat little layout and ad.

And I love the Monkey Mobile ... Cant believe that haters

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...

This was a real Pontiac concept truck.

I know these are El Camino based "trucks", but if Pontiac had every released a real truck based pickup in late 60's, they would have been the pullingingest (is that a word? -lol) trucks on the road.

I think the sedan version of these were sold stateside as Pontiac GTO"s, but over here lots of people like to stick BOWTIE badges on them. I wonder if they were fitted with Hyundai motors would they rebadge them as well? Go figure.
