ZR2 questions

I am usually on the 67-87 forums, but have a chance to buy a 99 ZR2 pickup so here I am. It is missing the tailgate. I have read some conflicting information about finding one for it. Will the tailgate from a regular S10 fit? And are these desirable with decent value? Thanks for the help.

Re: ZR2 questions

Yes a regular tailgate will fit.

Only differences are the frame, fenders/bedsides with holes to mount flares, fender flares stock tire size, and rear axle(8.6"10 bolt) which was a option on non zr2 models.

I dont think they bring much more than a regular 4x4 s10 honestly.

Re: ZR2 questions

Frame and suspension are different like said the gate will change the price isnt a lot higher but parts are super hard to find. Out of all the S trucks I had[several hundred] I only built one and junked one.
