Thumbs up Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build

Yeah thanks, wat times u going after with ur setup did u swap to hollow stem valves on ur heads they've told me that's a great way to help out these heads. I still need more converter and more gear to get its full potential my 5.3 went 13.7 in my crew cab its just for now till I can build a 6.0 for it.

Keep us updated with ur truck coming out nice can't wait to see it done

No. Just stock motor with cam and springs. Not really. Going after any specific time. I'm just building what I want and seeing what it'll do, then I'll just go from there. To many variables in drag racing you can throw numbers at setups all day long.

LSPWRD67CHEVY,

Do you have a cam picked out yet?
What fuel is in your area (91, 93)?
Any idea what the truck is going to weigh?
Also, what are you going to be running for a converter?
What about gear and tire?

I use performance trends to model engines with great success. I am sure I could help you with a custom cam for your set up.

Yes, I already have a custom grind cam installed for what I plan on doing with the truck for the time and money I have at the moment. You actually commented on it in the first page of this thread. I plan on running just 91 with no ethanol. Im hoping the truck will weigh around 3500 or so with me in it. Im planning on going with atleast a 3500 stall. as of now it has 3.73 gears and a 29 in tall slick.

I think different doctors use different terminologies for the same syndrome. Must be a East coast / Mid west / West coast thing.

headers look nice. appear to fit about like their 70-81 LSx swap f-body headers.

Looks like you will be using a carb with this setup.

What kind and cfm did you have in mind for it?

not sure how radical you plan to take it....but a 750cfm Street HP with some minor adjustments (jet change, bigger squirters, and a 50cc primary pump mod) keeps my LY6 plenty wet with fuel. Not sure I even needed the 50cc upgrade.

You are buidling the truck of my dreams. All the things that I plan on doing on my project you have done to yours. Love the blue and your wheel and tire set up. Keep up the good work.

Are the headers for a first gen camaro? If so I wonder what the difference is between them and the second gen headers.
