Is a 275/60 the widest tire that can be put on a 15x8 rally?

It's the best looking tire IMO for a 8" Rally. Go with a 275 60 and you will be happy,

Is anyone running 50 series tires on rallys, if so what size are you using for front and back? Would a 295/50/15 look good and work on a 15x9 wheel for the rear?

My Car Craft a month or two ago said they were amazed at how many cars were running 15" wheels again, and that a majority of them were crager s/s wheels!

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info

Here's another 4x4 entry. '71 Sub 1/2 ton. 4 inch Skyjacker lift. 15x8 wheels (standard backspace) and 35x12.5 Goodrich All Terrains. No rubbing and rides great. The 35s make the 3.73 gears feel a little inadequate when I tow the race car, but it does it.

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info

Great freekin idea.. I am trying to decide what size of rubber to put on my truck and have been wondering if there was such an easily accessible way to compare.. You'd almost think tire shops would have something like this for their customers. Probably will,,,,,, some day.

Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info

I am ready to order my wheels and tires and can't decide on the size for the rear. I have decided on 255/45 18s [18x8 wheel] for the front but can't decide if I should go with 295/40 20s on the rear or 315/35 20s [20x10 wheel]. I originally planned on the 295s but my tire guy thinks the 315s would look better... I am not sure.

I think that having the sidewall heights match is important so I used the tire sizing guide at 1010tires.com and the 315s theoretically have a side wall height of 4.34". The 295/40s are said to be 4.64". The front 255/45s would be 4.51". I like the idea of 12.5" of tread width on the 315s, but wonder if the tire would look like it needs to be on a wider rim, which I don't want. I don't have to worry about having enough room for the 315s width because I have a shortened rear-end and have tubbed the bed 5.5" on each side. And the truck will have air ride so they have to tuck.

Anyone fit 315s on a 10" rim?

Exclamation Re: Wheel/Tire Fitment Pictures & Info

Here is my setup... Tire size is 31/16.50/15 Mickey Thompson ET Streets on 15" x 12" Weld Draglite wheels with 7.5"s of back-spacing. (NO these wheels will not fit on your stock truck, however they will if you change out your axles, I went with 35 Spline Moser's) Weld Draglites only come in 5 on 4.5 or 5 on 4.75 bolt circles. I have also included a couple of pics of my trailing arm modification... I have added the ability to adjust my trailing arms up or down in the front to suit my traction needs.
