Thanks for a great thread - sorry for your loss! I'm just starting a very similar project and also need a new hood. What years and makes (GMC?) are interchangeable? Thanks in advance for your help.

There are some subtle differences but I believe the 73-80 hood will interchange... If I remember right, 73-76 have a smooth 'nose'... and 77-80 has an extra body line.
