Interchange Thread(s)

OK, I'm fairly new to this forum. I'm curious if there is a thread or forum that details what interchanges on our trucks. As an example, I bought a 16" wheel at a local wrecking yard, since I didn't have a spare (and since I had to buy it, I got one that will make it easier to replace the tires than the 16.5' tires, in the future). It came from a '90 Suburban, according to the yellow paint stick on the side of the wheel. After I bought it and had a tire mounted, I found out that some wheels may not work. I ran over a bolt in the road today and had my son put the spare I bought on. Fortunately, it fit onto the hub, and the studs lined up. Even better, the hub cap went right on. Long story short, besides people's extensive knowledge from years of working on these trucks, is there a place where all this information can be gotten, besides a Hollander's parts catalog (which- are they even around anymore?) where we can find out what will fit? Because until I inherited this truck, all I ever did was borrow it as needed, and while I did repair it as needed for my FiL, it didn't need parts off another truck to get it repaired. Now that parts may be hard to find, it might be a good thing to have some sort of interchange list.

I'm not aware of a comprehensive interchange list but I can usually find answers by searching on this site.

Re: Interchange Thread(s)

There is an interchange publication specific to small blocks. I believe it is on Amazon (like virtually everything else).
