Aw come on now, I'll bet coming down was piece of cake. Stopping, not so much.

I have seen several tow rigs coming down Monarch Pass that looked down tight scary.

I don't remember which pass, but in 1966 my dad was towing a 3/4 ton 1952 GMC with a 1962 C10 six cylinder three speed. I had to get out and drive the GMC once to make it over. We just left it hooked up and I kept my hands off the wheel.

The ability to speak several languages is an asset, but the ability to keep your mouth shut in any language is priceless.

Wash: "Yeah well, if she doesn't give us some extra flow from the engine room to offset the burn through, this landing is gonna get pretty interesting."

Mal: "Define interesting."

Wash: "Oh god oh god we're all gonna die?"

My recollection I was in granny low and standing on the brakes as hard as I could trying to keep the engine from over revving too much.

Should have used low range coming down.
