C10s in the Park

Well, I don't usually toot my own horn, but my truck "Leroy" made the Top 50 trucks out of 1000 trucks for our first big show. Had a great time. A great show, great charity, great show production, great sponsors, great trucks, and great people.

That is quite an honor

We were wondering exactly how they go about choosing the top 50 for the follow on show.

Yes, more pictures would be nice!!!

Re: C10s in the Park

As far as the Top 50 are concerned, American Racing Wheels is a big sponsor of C10s in the Park. So, an American Racing Representative goes around and determines which trucks are included in the Top 50.

They sponsor "The Party on The Plaza" Saturday night which is where the Top 50 are showcased. They had a free concert featuring Jason Cassidy(of Cassidy Customs) and his band, and all of the Top 50 are parked along the streets. No trophies, or anything like that, but just a great time.

Pics are always a pain because I have to resize them to post. Here are a few more.

Re: C10s in the Park

I have had a lot of help on Leroy's build. Have done everything myself except for the metal work, body work, and paint.

I am in the Houston area.

Jose Martinez at Joe Nose Metal Worx in Tomball, David and the guys at RHR Customs in Tomball, Manuel Hernandez at The Paint Shop in Tomball, Paul and Traci at Outback Truck Parts in Spring, Pat Maxwell at Maxwell Auto Designs in The Woodlands, and many more have helped get it to this stage.

I know there a some that prefer the classic, stock look, but with what I had to start with going back to stock was not an option as the truck was a 6 cylinder three on the tree originally, and all of the original drive train was gone when we purchased it.

I think Leroy has turned out pretty well.

Re: C10s in the Park

Congrats on top 50 that’s awesome. I’ve been wanting to go to that show but my daughter was born the same weekend so I got to throw a birthday party instead. And it lands on that same weekend every year

Re: C10s in the Park

CONGRATULATIONS Sir. I was able to attend with my truck as well and loved yours. Great trucks and people all around. Everywhere around town I went and saw another c10'er you had an immediate friend. The band afterwards was awesome.
