Covering Dynamat?
For those who insulated their cab with Dynamat (or any similar insulating material), what did you use to cover the exposed insulation? Areas like the back of the cab & around the cab corners to just behind the doors, also the floor under the seat where the mats don't cover.

I was thinking of using a thin jute backing so that it would look like firewall insulation.

When i did my cab the after market carpet covered right to the back of the cab. I made a tank cover from a piece of bulk acc carpet ( matches the floor carpet) and made a cover that goes from door to door and to just above the gas tank. Another thing I did was cover the dynamat with the foam dynaliner. I also removed the thin layer of jute from the firewall pad and used dynaliner on that also.

Thanks for the input, guys. I called the shop and was told they have a rubberized spray they usually apply over exposed Dynamat. Next time I'm down there I'll take a look-see.

If I remember to take my wife's camera..... Not much to see though, just a gutted cab and primered truck parts scattered around the shop last time I was there.

Make sure it is not undercoat as some types never really dry. I used bedliner spray

That spray on stuff sounds like Flex seal like you see on the infomercials. Might have to check into it when I get to that point.

This is what i did. I didn't spray anything but carpet adhesive to the RAS so the jute backing wouldn't move around and then just put the carpet over the jute.

i used plastidip spray for area under back window (behind seat and gas tank). every where else gets covered up by firewall insullated board and or carpet
