Power Window Wiring....Routing

I'm planning to add OEM power windows to an '04 GMC 1500. After researching the net, my best bet is to use the wiring out of a '99-'02 truck. This will avoid all the BCM issues that relate to power window operation on '03-'07 trucks. As I understand it, using the earlier harness requires only an ignition power wire and a ground wire to complete the window wiring.
I want to know where the window wiring harness runs across the truck to the passenger side and where it exits the cab.
Has anyone done this swap? Any help appreciated.

Re: Power Window Wiring....Routing

If you can get a look at the GM service manual for the donor year it'll have the wiring routing in the electrical section.
You'll have to dig for it. They don't make it easy to find.

RTFM... GM Parts Books, GM Schematics, GM service manuals, and GM training materials...Please include at least the year and model in your threads. It'll be easier to answer your questions.
And please let us know if and how your repairs were successful.
