Re: SPID Picture thread?

I am new here and bought this truck for my dad recently but I turned around and bought him a new truck instead, so I may be selling this one. Original drive train to the truck by looking at the date codes. It is still wearing its original Hugger Orange paint, markings still on firewall, I took off the inner fenders for cleaning underneath and I noticed factory marking on the fenders. This thing is super clean and no rust.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Thanks Ray, I told the guy that and he kept arguing with me on the facebook page for this site. I ended up pulling up old threads showing him and then he finally gave in. I thought I lost my mind, granted alot has gone on in my mind the last year and half. I have another guy telling me you could get a BB in a 4x4 and I told him NO. He doesn't believe me either. It will be all good though, Thanks Randy

Also if anyone happens across a 71 Tonawanda assembled (xxxx1T6xxxxx) YE9 SPID I would very much like to see it.

A cool truck indeed, and from California. But it looks like it's been a while since it was there. I hope you restore it. Make sure and post some pics if you do!

Thanks for posting the pictures! This is a great example of a solid paint Cheyenne without a lot of bling.

I started a Solid paint thread to find 20s and 30s like this.

We've got pretty similar trucks. Your interior is much nicer. Mine has a metal bed, and not quite as gone though.

Unsure about when the others were added. Has a CST badge on the glovebox and cheyenne super emblems on the fenders. Pretty sure it should be a Custom Deluxe. Weren't the CTS package last offered in 1970 with the cheyenne super package replacing it?

Nice options on your 72 K10 lwb!
You are correct it is a factory Custom Deluxe and should have ONLY "CUSTOM/10", "DELUXE" AND "8 350" fender badges.

The glove box door should not have any emblem at all.

The SPID has been clearly and incorrctly altered by adding lines
for Tinted Glass, CST and A/C options it was not built with.

Unrelated but yes the CST trim package was offered from 67-70 and became, in 71, the Cheyenne trim.
