Cool 1971 Jimmy trans swap time

Hello! my name is Michael..I'll be doing a transmission swap. Taking out the old th350 and putting in an old sm465.. a lot of oldness going on.

I just picked up a donor truck yesterday for 800$, has a 302/sm465/np205. The truck also had a 4 inch suspension lift (which I may or may not try to fit onto my '71 Jimmy).

I've pulled engines and transmissions on Chevys before - but never swapped anything..so this should be a learning experience for me, and hopefully for anyone else doing this sort of thing. I think we will all learn from my mistakes.

I'll be uploading pics and progress and look forward to everyone's input/heckling. But, here are the two trucks.
