i bought mine from a local welding shop. it is a millermatic 175 and i love it.

for the few extra dollars involved i think your better off buying from a local welding supply company

I agree with Cdowns..better to buy from local shop..If you have any problems or questions it would be easier to get help.I bought my cutting out fit from a local shop awile back and it is handy to have a local shop to take care of all my needs and answer any questions...

Your search for a welder should encompass more than you will ever weld in thckness and gauge. As a professional welder your machine is the limits to your fabricatin needs.If you are only doing sheet metal up 16 gauge than a simple 110 w/fluxcore or 75/25gas capabilities will do.Stick with the larger names
their parts are easier to find. eg (miller,lincolin,esab)

Cyberyweld was beating everybody's price. I printed out their add and took it to my local Northern and they matched it. Pye Barker says they can service it no problem.

I have used the Miller 210, My hobart 175, My buddies hobart 135 and a Lincoln weldpack.

HATED that lincoln but it may have had a problem.

LOVE my Hobart 175. Have not run into anything it couldn't handle yet. Built a 5x10 trailer with it, BUNCH of stuff for my trucks, Welded up a exhaust for a buddy a2 weeks ago. Repairing the floor in his jeep with it this week. For a home shop I can't say enough about it.

My buddy has the 135 and I did some body repair with it. For a 110v machin it does well on the smaller stuff. Have not got to try it on anything thick.

My buddy has the Miller 210....MAN what a sweet machine! Better have some deep pockets cause it isn't cheap.

i also agree with the buy local. i purchased a clarke from a supplier 5 min. from my house. they can service it there if need be.

can you buy me parts? other wise i have to call the manufactor, no one around here sells parts for them. I have a clark 100en, and i need a tip, not the tip that the wire comes out of but the one that covers that.

I have a Lincoln weldpack 100 with the mig conversion and 75/25 gas. This is my first mig machine and I love it, it handles everything I have needed around the house/shop. I bought it from the local Welders Supply, have had no problems.

I used a lincoln today at work, was doing a lowering job. What a piece of ****. it was a ARC welder but OH MY i just wanted to destroy it. Sure it spat all over the place but dam did it take a very long time to tac the bracket in place. never again, I rather bring my welder to work then use that POS.

i got a 135 millmatic. the 175 uses a 220v outlet.....I'm more for home use and my garage is my shop so the 135 does fine. I also bought it from a local welding shop. The guys there give me a discounts on everything i buy so they got me as a customer. It only takes 3 mins to get there too.

I just put up a post about this on the message board and finally went with a miller 135 very easy to use welder would recomened it to anyone ...
