My 1979 GMC High Sierra 3/4 ton I had was lifted 4" and ran 35" BFG M/T's... I had to do some fender trimming... but nothing major.

6" Tuff Country lift with springs all around. No blocks in the rear. Cruising 37" Toyo MT's on 17" wheels (but not in this picture). 4.88 Gears front and rear with a True Trac D44 and Detroit locker in the 12bolt rear. Soon it will have 4.10 gears in it just to be able to drive it more on the freeways.

Re: 6in lift with 33s

F*** the looks issue.....if you chose wide tires for looks more than off-roading purposes, you are most unlikely and unwilling to cut the fenders to fix it. You made your own bed.

Re: 6in lift with 33s

Here's mine, 6" with 33's will be going with bigger tires soon. I got the truck solid under the hood and drive train. Now it needs painting!

This picture was taken Friday in Central MS, pretty rare for us to end up having 4.5" of snow!
