Pictures on this site are getting very tiresome.... all the time and energy we spend putting up the pics of our builds to share with everyone and then they just disappear, gone, nothing, not even one of those little broken picture thingys that you normally see.... just a big blank spot of a post where alot of pictures used to be....

Whats gives????? Not really worth documenting a build here on the site if they arent going to keep the pics on there anymore.

And they dont let us edit the old posts to even fix them if we wanted to!

maybe a forum tech will see this, Ive already asked the main gal in the past but I dont understand her tech talk...

I saw one a little while ago that had all ???? on it...I think it comes and goes on here from time to time...I don't think that's pb...if your a paid member you can go back and edit posts...but I don't know how far back

I've probably got 5 photobucket photos lost into the PHotobucket wastelands right now. Because the people who bought them out are overly greedy.

The pictures disappearing has nothing to do with this web site. If everyone would upload their pictures directly to the board instead of going through a hosting service every one of them would still be visible. I have been posting pictures since 2006 and all of them are still visible.

As Mongo said you have to be a paying member to edit your posts after the 30 minute time limit. It's one of the benefits of being a Premium member. If you click on the word "Subscribe" in the menu bar above it will explain the different membership options.

Is there a link to explain how to load pics directly to the board or is that a perk of being a paid member? I haven't tried since becoming a member.

There is an option callled manage attachments. Click on that and then click on choose file, select a pic from your computer and click upload. It will appear in your post.

to post pics, go to the advanced tab below the reply screen, then click the paperclip beside the happy face to add pics.

Thanks, that is the process I tried, the 1 thing I didn't check was file size.

what you use to post pics with can affect it...I know some people have trouble with phones..

Which pics are you missing, I save a lot of stuff for reference on my Laptop, maybe I have them. Give me a description.

From what I understand in an email discussion with photobucket, it depends on how often they are viewed! If they are viewed a bunch they are going to hold them ransom (my words not his) until you pay the crazy fees they are after!

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
