FS ‘71 Blazer Tub with a very nice windshield frame and cowl

I bought this Tub in Arizona with the intention of using it as a donor for my 1972 2wd Blazer. I work as a Field Service Engineer for a defense contractor and I will be on duty overseas starting this Fall and I would like to reduce the amount of stuff I have to store. I don’t have to sell the thing and I’m not desperate. I’ve looked for these parts and I know what is out there and in what condition and this one is above average. I looked at a dozen “nice” rolling 69 – 72 Blazers here in Carolina for more money and couldn’t see enough good parts to make me buy them. I’d like to see it go to someone who can use it, someone on this forum preferably; it is for sale locally so it might be gone before you know. Not bad for 39 year old metal.

My price is $1350.00

Overall condition: Very good in comparison to my ’72 which has spent it’s life here in Coastal Carolina. The PO cut holes in the rocker boxes in order to mount a roll bar. I was able to look inside and didn’t see any rust. The bed floor has only three or four rust holes in the rear above the rear cross seal. The quarters have typical rust in front of the wheel where mud and debris catches and holds water. There is a small amount of rust in the floor where the floor and inner rocker meet. The kick panels and cowl are very solid. The outer rockers and lower door post do not have any rust and the windshield frame is as nice as I have seen! This is a non AC dash and radio hole has been cut; I have an unmolested AC dash which I will be taking out of a ’72 truck that I will include at this price, as well as, a set of usable doors shells I got with it. Glad to take more pictures if you need them. I will try to answer any questions as quickly as possible. I will be in the field with the Marines for the next two weeks and e-mail will be spotty at best.

Let me answer a few questions that will be asked.

Will I cut it up and sell parts? Yes, only after it sits on here for a couple of months.
Will I trade? Yes, for almost anything, 67-72 Chevy of equal, greater or less value.
Does it have a title? No, it is just for parts.
Can you have it for free? No, I didn’t get it for free so, no.
Where is it? Havelock, North Carolina 28532. HW 70 east from 95 about two hours.
Will I deliver it? DC to Alabama for the cost of gas (after your payment clears) it hasn’t been removed from the trailer so that is easy. It is heaver than it looks so have some friends with you when you come to get it or you get ready to off load it.

PMing me is fine but if you want to make me an offer please do so in this thread to reduce confusion.

That looks like a '72. No holes for the rear view mirror and wasn't the single wall top an 'only '72' thing?

Re: FS ‘71 Blazer Tub with a very nice windshield frame and cowl

Is the left rear quarter full of filler? Any body filler to speak of? Could I please get some pics of the rocker boxes? Any pics of the areas that are rusted? Sorry for all the questions.

Re: FS ‘71 Blazer Tub with a very nice windshield frame and cowl

The rear end of the left quarter does have a good bit of filler. I have a short fleet bedside that I picked up in Arizona that I was going to cut in half to fix that. The front where the patches are has some rust which would be easily repaired with the front lower quarter sections. On the passenger side, the outer lip where the floor and the inner rocker meet has some rust in that pinch weld where water has sat.
