anyone cut and sectioned lwb bedsides into swb bed sides?

I plan on turning my 67 gmc into a short box. I have the frame all figured out and i tihnk i know what im doing on the box but just woundering if anyone on here has chopped and sectioned there long box bed sides into short ones before and if so any pointers would help?

thanks for the links, i cant beleive i missed the bed work in lfd's build when i skimed through it awhile ago looking at what he did to the frame.

The only problem i see having is that my wooden floor is rotten and dont think it would be a good idea to cut the box sides while on the truck. I will probally end up dismanteling the box and cutting them sepratly.

It seems like half the shortbed trucks I see have the surgery scars in the frame from their previous life as a long bed. Frame mods seem to be common, but cutting the bed seems to be rare.
