1979 Chevy Cheyenne K20 (factory bucket seats)

Here are a few before and after pics, but i'll have many more up tomorrow.....

I wasn't planning on selling this pickup, but when you have to many toys sometimes you are forced to make choices, and my wife is asking that i slim down the heard. Plus this pickup isn't to practical in fitting the family in because of the buckets seats. Which the buckets are truly unique, this was the first square body 4wd i had ever seen with buckets. Plus this pickup is one of the cleanest and unmolested I've seen for it age. There is practically no rust, very very little in the passenger side rocker, it super straight and the factory original paint is in great shape, but there is a little fading on the hood. The truck has 133k miles, and i am not sure if the engine or trans has been rebuilt, but this thing runs and drives like a dream. I wouldn't be afraid to take this on a 500 mile road trip, it is such a fun truck to drive. The pickup does not leak a drop of anything, i am not kidding! And everything works, even the original radio.

As you'll see this pretty much all factory original, with the exception to the few cosmetic changes that i made. I traded out the grill and headlight bezels, i just like the look of the earlier 73-75 style, i threw out the old grill and headlight bezels, they were in bad shape. Plus i added the woodgrain door insert, but i still have the chrome style ones that will go with the truck. Here is a list of things that i have already completed.
Under the Hood:
new tires, but with original steel wheels (needs correct two front hub caps)
new battery
new fuel pump
new alternator
new plugs and wires
new hoses
new fuel solenoid selection switch
new windshield
new carpet
new dash
new gauges lens
new turn signal cam
restored door panels, with new map pockets etc.

Things i think it needs:
e-brake cable
exhaust (still function well, no leaks, but the tip looks like crap)
seat covers
window seals

I know i am forgetting so much, but this is all i can remember at this point. If you have any questions please give me a call, i'd be happy to answer any questions. I am looking for $5,500 cash and nothing less or anything else. This is a super clean pickup, tough to find one this straight, plus all the new parts for this price.

541-948-1166

Thank you
Doug

No it full time 4wd. 203 t-case. It just has the wrong caps on the front.

Re: 1979 Chevy Cheyenne K20 (factory bucket seats)

Just wanted to post a follow up. I purchased this truck from Doug and he was great to deal with. He picked me up from the airport and I drove it home 300 miles. Truck is safely tucked away in my garage now. Always great to meet fellow forum members. I’ve already started making a few changes. I put the older style hubcaps on it that I had laying around and a tan comfort grip steering wheel. Thanks again Doug!
