Grandsons first shop bench
My grandson turns 8 in a few days but we celebrated his bday a little early. He got his first set of tools and he and I made him his own area in the shop. Grandpa you can’t stack any of your stuff in my space!!! Lol!
It’s not quite done yet. We still have a little touch up here and there. I need to fasten the divider wall we put up between his side and mine. We made him his own drawer with a valve cover pull. I have a lot of very cool old valve covers and let him pick the one he liked best, Chevrolet script. We have to figure out where to hang the blower drive belt one of the Top Fuel drivers gave him at the NW Nationals a couple years ago.

Re: Grandsons first shop bench
That's a good set.
Those cases are worth there weight in gold. You can look and make sure you put everything back. About the wheels I am always thinking .

Re: Grandsons first shop bench
That’s pretty neat.
My grandpa had a huge positive impact on me when I was very young. You fellas are fortunate that you get to hang out with each other.

Re: Grandsons first shop bench
Your grandson is one lucky little guy. My grandfathers died while my parents were 12, respectively, so I never knew them. My three sons haven't seen fit to spawn yet, and I'm 67, so I'll probably never see a grandchild. This bothers me more than a little.

When I was your Grandson's age
My Grandpa taught me drilling holes in (Stuff) on this drill press. Which is mounted between the Kitchen & living room. This time you are spending with your Grandson is Monumental .

Re: Grandsons first shop bench
this is very cool. I can't wait to see him mess it up . What I mean is evidence of working on projects. I'm curious to see what he gets into.

I love her to pieces, but she will be 15 later this month ... She's a whole different animal than when she was a kiddo like her little brother haha!
