Cat-Back dual exhaust - 1989 Burb

I currently have a cat-back dual exhaust on my '89 Burb. It was on there when I bought it and whoever put it in, did a nice job, but now it's rusting to pieces. I'd like to get the same type of system, but all I can find are single systems. I may be stuck having a shop duplicate the system that's there, but I'm thinking that would be big money even if they had the old pipes for a pattern.

Anyone know of an aftermarket cat-back dual exahust for these rigs? I've searched Flowmaster, Dynomax, Edelbrock, Gibson and a few others but I've come up empty...

Thanks!

1987SierraClassic (and the '89 burb of course)

Re: Cat-Back dual exhaust - 1989 Burb

I bought a kit from either Summit or Jegs, think it was Jegs. It was a Dynomax kit either way.
Although it was dual pipes after the muffler, they exit on the same side as stock and it was only one muffler. The kit was aluminized mandrel bent pipes.
Not sure if this what you mean by dual exhaust but it was only like $139 plus shipping. I also had to buy a new cat and an intermediate(?) pipe. All told it was just over $200 shipped.

BowTieOgre, if I find anything, I'll let you know. So far, nothin'

Kevinr1970, I've seen the system of which you speak. Mine has a 3" single into the muffer and has two pipes that have a side exit on either side just ahead of the bumper instead of both on one side. Those pipes are 2.25" each. It's similar to the Flowmaster Force II system, but they don't make it my my year truck. I may end up with the 3" single Dynomax system if I can't find what I want.
