Re: 52p/u build

Thanks Greg, it's a complete frame off, Mustang II front,Ford 9" 370 gears,300hp 350 w/700R4 four wheel power disc breaks,A/C,power one piece windows everything's new or reworked basically every nut & bolt redone just a clean p/u! It was a rust free truck when I bought it. It's one of our shop projects we're building it to sell I can't keep them all.

Re: 52p/u build

First welcome to the forum, truck is looking great. In the pic on post #4 your front end shows the newer style mount for upper a arms. Is it a TCI or fat man unit? Also could you give me a measurement from front of top hat to the mounting surface for a arm? Thanks...Jim

Re: 52p/u build

It's a TCI front-end it's their newest set up! It went together really nice with almost no modifications! Yes I'll shoot you that measurement tomorrow!

Are you thinking about modifying an old-style mustang II? His pictures got me wondering about that too....

Truck looks good!

Re: 52p/u build

It is based off of the original hats! I think you could modify the old hat! I'll post a better picture tomorrow with some measurements

Re: 52p/u build

Is the upper control arm still parallel to the top of the spring pocket or did they straighten out the spring pocket since it doesn't have to locate the arm anymore?

Thanks again for the pictures and info. Chassis looks great!

Looks nice, Welcome to the Forum.
What did you use as far as paint or coating the chassis?
