How did you find the 67-72 Forum

I was actually surfing the WEB looking for info on 53-55 Chevy Trucks.

I stumbled on this site and ended up purchasing a loaded BB 70cst and because I had been reading various threads on this forum I knew this Truck was special.

That's my story - whats yours...

I was a 14-15 year old kid back in 2001. I was just looking for pics of some 4x4’s back then. Stumbled across many pics from “Blazerman” and “Mudder67”. Still remember a lot of the post from back around 2000-2001 on here.

Reading thru more of the posts I realized I had not actually answered the question, LOL. Found the forum while searching the internet for 4x4 parts to just the truck usable. Pretty sad shape when I found it.

Actually found my '71 4x4 sitting in the back of a used car lot. It was a rough ol dog but it was a 71 and it was four wheel drive. Bought it and along with it came a 3/4 ton 72 parts truck for $1500. A LOT of money, time, sweat, labor and beer it turned into a real truck, LOL. Kept the bed, rear frame and running gear from the parts truck and made a trash hauling, gravel hauling, fire wood hauling trailer out of it. Have had my truck since '85.

Bought my first truck, pictured, in 2001. Back then Internet was just a baby so really wasn't on it that much. I was a little more Internet savvy by 2003 and was surfing for truck info and this site popped up so I joined and I've been a member ever since.

Chevy Truck Magazine was a print publication in the mid Ninties. I was a subcriber. They had an on-line B-Board. When the magazine folded, I found this board.

Years back I was just browsing for a 67-72 truck and came across this site. Fast forward to last year I joined and purchased my truck. Now it’s a waiting game till it arrives. The site is a wealth of info as most questions have been answered numerous times. Just takes time to understand the search menus.

Bought my truck in 2000 and in 2005 I hit a Jeep Cherokee and damaged the grille and LH fender. Started looking for parts on the web and came across the site. Bought an NOS grille from a member and have been on here almost daily ever since.

I had bought my truck in 86 and looking for info and others that had them. I ran across this site and was a original goof member given to us by Liz & Josh.

First pic, is my truck after the first paint job in 87.
Next picture isn't mine but it's the color it started out as. I didn't think to take before pictures. This is one reason I take so many pictures now. I regret not having any of the before pictures of my truck and the work I did on it before the paint job.

I'm a "newer" member. I owned a 69 GMC in college and loved it. I had to part with it after upgrading to an awesome 80 K10. Despite the awesome memories with both vehicles, I had to part with that once my kids and bills started rolling in, but I always wanted to get another 67-72. Over the past 7 years I kept my eyes out. I found a 70 K10 and once I looked at it in person, I knew the owner had no idea what he had (2nd owner) and was parting with for the price. I bought it on the spot.

I was searching the interwebs for some carb tuning advice, came across this wonderful site, and joined that day. In many ways the community has "ruined" me because I went from enjoying my ride to stripping it down completely and rebuilding it, throwing in a swap while I'm at it. Ha ha! Seriously, glad to be here and be part of this group folks! I thoroughly enjoy it!

I got my truck for my anniversary last May and was searching the web for parts and info. Once I found this site I stopped looking at other forums and just stick with the best.

I was looking for info on 4 wheel disc brakes for my 78 C20.
I decided to leave drum brakes on it.
Back then I did not get on the computer much.
And I only used the forum for info.
Now I check out the forum everyday.

I am pretty good researching the internet using search engines for info (started with Usenet in the late 80's), so when I started researching vintage Chevy trucks in 2014 this site popped up all the time.

I quickly realized that this is the best forum for info on our trucks, and didn't need to look anywhere else.

When I bought my 67 K10 several years ago I thought I knew a lot about it...but quickly realized I knew very little. I've since spent countless hours researching and learning using this forum. I check 3-4 times a day for unread posts, have had many questions answered, and have purchased parts.

If you search anything 67-72 let alone Chevy trucks in general, this forum pops up. It is such a great resource for knowledge is still so active and relevant even today in 2020. Love this forum.

I was looking for info on a mod I was trying to make for my 1957 3200. Every site suggestion came up with this site, so after lurking for a few years I finally joined and that lead me to go out and get me a 1968 C10 for my next project.

Without this site I would never have had the confidence to attempt making modifications to my 1957 or the mods I'm making on the 1968, so thanks for all the great information and people. I couldn't have done it without you

Well in late April/ early May 2008 I just had received my 1970 Chevrolet C/10 long box as an early high school graduation gift. I was trying to find more info about it or trucks like it and every time I tried looking up info online, I kept being directed to this site so, after deciding to give it a look through I'm sure glad I did. And they don't just cover the 67-72 C/10's here pretty much if your truck was a GM product or, if your equipment has a GM (Detroit) Diesel engine you may be able to find the info or help your looking for here

After restoring a couple of 72 Cheyenne's, I sold the leftover parts to a former local board member D&L Truck Parts. Tom told me about the forum.
